But the prose is where the book excels. You get stories of the old days – Harry Vardon and the rest, told from viewpoints I’ve never seen before. Most outstanding to me was the account of Francis Ouimet’s 1913 U.S. Open vic|About the Author|Robert Sidorsky has written about golf for the New York Times since 1993.
